Thoughtful research. Meaningful stories.

Family history is more than a collection of names and dates—it is the story of where we come from, the paths taken, and the connections that continue across generations.

I offer family history research, document interpretation, and custom narrative reports designed to preserve and share your story in a clear and meaningful way.

My work brings together careful genealogical research and narrative writing to create family histories that are both accurate and deeply personal. Using historical records, archival sources, and detailed analysis, I trace lineages and uncover the details that shape each family’s story. From there, I translate that information into clear, engaging narratives that are meant to be understood, shared, and kept.

Based in northern British Columbia, I work with individuals and families across Canada and beyond. My services include lineage research, document interpretation, and custom family history reports, as well as more complex cases involving migration, name variations, and gaps in the historical record.

I am particularly drawn to stories that are not straightforward—families shaped by movement, uncertainty, or histories that were not fully documented. These are often the stories that require the most care, and the ones that hold the greatest meaning.

Each project is approached with respect, attention to detail, and an understanding that this work represents something deeply personal. Whether you are looking to better understand your ancestry or create something lasting for future generations, the goal is to produce work that reflects the significance of your family’s history.

This work became more personal through my own family, as I began researching Métis and Anishinaabe lineage for my children. That process required a different kind of care—working through complex records, understanding historical context, and recognizing where documentation is incomplete or shaped by systems that did not always reflect identity accurately. It reinforced for me that genealogy is not just about tracing lineage, but about approaching each story with respect, responsibility, and an awareness of what may not be fully captured in the record.
